A
multi-million-dollar plan to restore the natural resources damaged
by the 1999 wreck of the cargo ship New Carissa has been released
to the public for 30 days of review and comment. Seabirds, shorebirds
and recreational opportunities were lost to the oil spill resulting

PREPARING ORGANIZED DOCUMENTS
- Organize
information according to your readers’ needs.
- Group similar ideas.
- Place
your most important ideas first.
- Keep your setups short.
- List items in descending order of importance.
- In most business or technical documents, preview
your most important ideas and your major content areas,
and review (summarize) major points at the end of sections.
- Discuss items in the same order in which you introduce
them.
- Use headings, transitions, key words, and paragraph
openings to provide cues to the document’s organization.
